main character era

UNPOPULAR OPINION: being humble is old school & we should all activate our main character energy

Listen, I understand the charm of being humble and that in today’s world it’s seen as a virtue. People out there are praising each other for downplaying their accomplishments and then I get the “Wow— not very humble of you“ comment quite a lot.

What’s wrong with being the main character? Can we still be humble while being the main character? Let’s explore this topic because it fascinates me.

First of all, I always see quotes out there that go something like “We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility“ — blah, blah, blah.

Here are some reasons why I believe we should drop the humble act

1. When you tell others about your good accomplishment and don’t celebrate them in a hole by yourself there is a chance someone else will get inspired

Think about how powerful that is. Just by sharing your accomplishments with others you can inspire someone else to do something good for others or for other people’s lives. Can’t compete with this argument, sorry. :)

2. Owning your own power is actually badass

Ok, how badass do you feel in a cool new outfit that everyone gives you compliments on? Instead of saying “oh, thank you… *insert some humble line*” say something like “Yes, I look great, right?“. I just don’t get what’s wrong with celebrating other people being badass, talking about how badass and excellent you are or sharing if you worked super hard for something.

3. If we all had that main character energy, the whole world would be a better place

Imagine that we all reduced the “humble brags“ and just turned them into powerful, regular brags. You fed 100 children on your trip to a war torn country? Badass. Share it. You helped a non-profit redesign their marketing strategy and now they’re reaching thousands instead of hundreds? Badass. Share it. You grew up poor and just bought a new Buggati? Badass! Share it!

I literally see no reason to be humble if it comes from a place of impact and trying to empower others to achieve greatness.

There is a growing movement that reminds us about how important it is to own your own power, be strong and have that main character energy. Let’s all lean in into it.

What Main character energy can help you with

There are so many benefits of unlocking your inner bad b****. What are they? Well, I’m here to tell you!

1. First of all, it can really help you on your journey with achieving your goals and making your dreams into a reality

Believing in yourself, sharing that energy with others is truly priceless. When you work hard, believe in yourself and scream it from the top of the mountains you’re spreading this energy with others. So powerful!

2. Being the main character can help you attract other positive people and amazing opportunities into your life

When you are confident, self assured and know how to sell your badass self you attract a different vibe to your life. You meet people who are also projecting this badass energy and they will receive you in a different way.

3. Over all life quality boost? Hello.

Being the main character will change a lot of things in your life. You will no longer accept things that do not serve you, a lot of people in your life (who do not belong there) will run away, scared of your light. This is all a positive outcome and we need to inspire more people because main character energy truly means more longterm benefits.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Feel like a badass? Still humble? No worries. It’s a process. Owning your greatness takes months, even years sometimes. It’s a long journey, but an important one that I hope you will have courage to embark on.

And a final piece of advice: being the main character does not being mean and rubbing things into people’s faces who maybe at the time have a harder life. Being humble is overrated, but kindness is non-negotiable.

Keep slaying my friends. <3
